How to Play Cyber Craps

Set the Table

Place three clearly marked betting areas where everyone can see and reach them:

PROCEED VERIFY STOP & REPORT

Give each participant a chip, token, card, or another simple way to place a physical bet.

What You Need

A facilitator, this screen, a large display if available, two six-sided dice, and physical betting pieces or zones.

The first die represents Manner of Contact. The second represents the Manipulation Technique.

Roll & Deal

Roll both dice, select the matching values on screen, then tap Deal Scenario.

Read the scenario aloud and give the table a few moments to decide what they would do.

Everyone Bets

Participants place their bet at the same time. They are choosing the action they believe is safest and most appropriate.

Once the table is committed, the facilitator identifies the majority bet and selects it on screen.

Reveal the Winning Bet

The app compares the majority bet with the winning play.

If the table gets it, celebrate it. If the table chooses differently, the goal is not to dwell on losing — use the reveal as the transition into discussion.

Teach the Why

Use the highlighted Teaching Point to explain the behavior the scenario is testing, then use What Could Be Done for practical actions participants can take.

The best rounds are short: decision, reveal, one useful discussion, then move on.

Decision guide: Proceed when trust is established through normal process and the action is bounded. Verify when the request could be legitimate but needs independent confirmation. Stop & Report for prohibited actions, clear malicious indicators, attempted control bypasses, or reportable behavior.
